The film reconstructs the life and work of the playwright, narrator, and poet Virgilio Piñera. The scattered information that today can be found in Virgilio’s papers are combined with the testimony of his great friend Antón Arrufat, National Prize of Literature, the analysis of David Leyva, researcher of Virgilio's work, and the comments of the theater director Carlos Celdrán, National Theater Prize winner. This recreation of the Piñerian imaginary covers an extensive and significant period of Cuban culture, from the 1930s to the late 1970s, especially related to the literary and theatrical world.
