East View Global Press Archive® is an initiative to present the most comprehensive collection of global newspapers online, in searchable, full-image and full-text format. East View’s newest collections include El Comercio Digital Archive from Peru, El Impartial Digital Archive (Open Access) from Puerto Rico, and Prensa Libre Digital Archive from Guatemala. Journal de Debates Digital Archive (Open Access) from Brazil will be available in June and Noticias Graficas Digital Archive (Open Access) from Argentina will be available later this year. These are in addition to our current collections from Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, plus more Latin American newspapers are continuously added.
East View also presents East View Global Census Archive (GCA) with:
- Official census publications from 50 countries across Latin America addressing a wide range of topics, in total 460+ censuses – 9,400+ items – over 2 million pages, with content from 1565-2023, most from as early as the 1860s
to current, including nine censuses from the 2020 census round.
- Tabular data for over 6,000 items.
- GIS census datasets for 19 countries, 34 datasets total including multiple census years for Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Venezuela.
- More countries and census rounds are continuously added.
