A Shipibo child is raised by his grandparents in direct contact with the Amazon Forest and its inhabitants, whom he respects and accepts as part of his identity. As he grows up and comes into contact with urban life, the boy renounces his culture to avoid discrimination; but, in the end, his roots lead him to reconnect with the forest and reconcile with his ancestral traditions.
